Most property management software is priced and designed for chains. If you run one property, you end up either paying for a system built for fifty, or running the whole place on a spreadsheet and a notebook.
What we chose to do differently
One price, per property. Not per room, not per user, no setup fee, no sales call. What it costs is on the pricing page.
Phone first, desktop properly. Front-desk work happens standing up, so Hotelia started as an iPhone app. The web dashboard is the same system with a layout that actually uses a monitor — a side nav, a list beside the booking you are reading, real dialogs.
Money handled exactly. Amounts are stored as precise decimals from the database through to the screen, and rounded only when they are displayed. Money that does not reconcile is worse than no software at all.
Correct over clever. A room cannot be double-booked, because the database itself refuses it — not because a screen remembered to check. A guest cannot be checked into a stay that has already ended. The system says no and tells you why.
Where we are
Hotelia is a small, independent product. It is used day-to-day by real properties, and it grows from what those owners ask for rather than from a roadmap written in advance.
